No-Bake Mummy Cake Pops
No fancy cake tins, no sticks, no stress - just a store-bought cake, some melted chocolate, and a whole lot of messy Halloween fun! These are the activity for a spooky day bake with the kids.
Ingredients
1 store-bought cake with icing (chocolate or vanilla – whatever you love!)
200g white chocolate
Green food colouring
Candy eyeballs (2 per cake pop)
Method
Cake Smash Time: Pop your cake (icing and all!) into a large bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds just to loosen up that icing. Then get your hands in there and mix it all together until it forms one big, sticky, delicious dough.
Roll ’Em Up: Scoop out spoonfuls of the mix and roll into golf-ball sized cake balls. Line them up on a tray or plate until you’ve used all the mix.
Melt the Chocolate: Break the white chocolate into pieces and melt in the microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring between each until smooth and glossy.
Dip + Decorate: Grab a fork (because who actually has cake pop sticks on hand?) and stick it into a cake ball. Dip it into the white chocolate, giving it a good swirl to coat.
Add the Eyes: While the chocolate is still wet, stick on two candy eyeballs so they look like little spooky faces.
Mummy Drizzle: With the leftover white chocolate, stir in a few drops of green food colouring. Drizzle it back and forth over your cake pops to give them a “mummy bandage” look.
Set + Serve: Leave them to set at room temp or in the fridge if you need them quickly. Then let the kids pick their favourites and bite straight into those mummified masterpieces!
